Basic Knowledge

Master’s programs in industrial and organizational psychology teach students to apply psychological principles to the workplace. These can result in a Master of Arts or Master of Science degree. Some schools offer online programs and most can be completed in 18-24 months. Both thesis and non-thesis pieces are generally available. In order to apply, students must have a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or a minor in psychology. Some schools also require previous work experience in human resources.
