GASTRONOMY AND CULINARY ARTS

The main purpose of the Department of Gastronomy and Culinary Arts within the Faculty of Tourism of Brussels Capital University; To educate students on Kitchen Management, Restaurant Management, Cafe-Bar Management, Food and Beverage Management. Equipped with knowledge and skills to compete in the international arena; Another aim of the department is to train expert personnel and executive chefs in national and international Culinary. Throughout the program, it is aimed to include Turkish Cuisine in International Cuisine by working primarily in the field of Turkish Culinary Culture and then International Cooking. In this context, during the four-year undergraduate education, students are taught the subtleties of the art of cooking from the most basic to the most advanced, and they are provided with the communication and management skills they will need in business life. At the end of the program, students will have the knowledge to establish their own businesses as well as being a manager in food and beverage businesses.

The theoretical lessons of the program will be held in the distance education system and the kitchen application lessons will be held in the kitchen of Karacan Academy.

Gastronomy and Culinary Arts Program Application and internship studies are organized by regional partner institutions and organizations, and it is ensured that students put into practice the theoretical knowledge they learned in the practice kitchen of the partner institution in the nearest region, accelerate their professional development and successfully complete the undergraduate program.
In this context, our students have the opportunity to practice in the application kitchens of Karacan Academy in Antalya, Akbaşlar Catering Academy in Istanbul, and Tüşapder Culinary Academy in Van.
