Dr. Halil Tabur
Halil Tabur, who pioneered the introduction and recognition of clinical reflexology in Turkey, is one of the founders of the sympathetic-parasympathetic system theory in reflexology. He began his reflexology studies in 2002 at a private education and rehabilitation center in Izmir with Esat Başaran, and opened Türkiye’s first clinical reflexology center there in 2003, also with Esat Başaran.
He received fundamental training in reflexology from Dr. Kevin KUNZ and Dr. Kent OZMAN in the USA. He completed the reflexology diploma program at Brussels Capital University. In 2006, he attended neurophysiology/psychophysiology, reflexology, and neurophysiology training with Prof. Dr. Şenol DANE, head of the Department of Physiology at Atatürk University, and received certification in these fields.
Halil Tabur is a graduate of Istanbul Haydarpaşa High School. He completed the Psychology Bachelor’s Degree at Ondokuz Mayıs University in 1997 and earned his degree as a psychologist. Halil Tabur, who completed family counseling training at Kırıkkale University and family and student coaching training at Harran University, successfully completed the Clinical Psychology Master’s program at Brussels Capital University. He is currently a graduate student in the Sociology department at Istanbul University. He has published four books on reflexology and psychology.
Halil Tabur periodically provided reflexology training to personnel (medical doctors, physiotherapists, psychologists, etc.) at the Istanbul Provincial Health Directorate and received a plaque of appreciation from the Provincial Health Director. He has also provided reflexology training to pregnancy educators, midwives, and nurses in public hospitals. He has organized reflexology training for personnel in numerous public and private hospitals and provided reflexology training to healthcare personnel.
For approximately 15 years, he has organized nearly 200 training programs both domestically and internationally, training approximately 2,000 reflexologists. He has spoken at national and international nursing and reflexology congresses and appeared on numerous national television programs, informing the public about reflexology.
