Prof. Dr. Beishenaliev Almazbek

Almazbek Beishenaliev (Kyrgyzstan) is the Director of the Central Asia Regional Institute in Bishkek. Previously, he served as Head of the Department of Education, Culture and Sports in the Government Office of the Kyrgyz Republic from 2017-18. He was a visiting scholar at the Central Asia-Caucasus Institute at the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Study from 2016-17 and a visiting scholar at the Johns Hopkins University School of Education from 2013-14. From 2014-17, Dr. Beishenaliev served as Vice Chancellor for Research, Development, and External Relations at Ala-Too International University in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, and from 2012-13, Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs at Vistula University in Warsaw, Poland. Beishenaliev has received the Medal for Excellence in Education from the Ministry of Education of the Kyrgyz Republic and the “Laborte de Scienta” medal of the European Scientific Consortium. He holds a PhD in Education from Arabaev Kyrgyz State University (2012) and another PhD. He completed his PhD in History from the same university with a dissertation on “The Role of the United States in Central Asia and Kyrgyzstan” (2018). He also holds a MA in Education from Ludwigsburg University of Education in Germany (2007) and a BA in English Philology from Naryn State University in Kyrgyzstan (2001). He also holds a PhD in Education from Arabaev Kyrgyz State University (2012) and another PhD. He received his PhD in History from the same university in the USA.
